1. Introduction

ANARCHY is a mobile-only multiplayer third-person shooter game that combines the excitement of traditional mobile gaming with the benefits of web3. Players can engage in battles against each other, with the added benefits of earning rewards and owning in-game assets as NFTs. ANARCHY's Play&Earn model allows players to earn tokens as they progress through the game, providing a new level of engagement.

Compared to other web3 games currently available, ANARCHY stands out with its organic engagement of mobile third-person shooter gameplay. The game mechanics and objectives are designed to provide players with an exciting and immersive experience while also providing opportunities for players to earn rewards and own valuable assets.

In this white paper, we will provide an overview of ANARCHY, including the technical details, tokenomics, and in-game assets. We will also discuss the play-to-earn model, the development roadmap, and the team behind the project. Ultimately, our goal is to showcase ANARCHY's potential to make a significant impact on the web3 gaming ecosystem.

2. gaming industry challenges

The gaming industry especially shooter segment is growing rapidly, but there are still significant challenges facing both web2 (conventional) and web3 (p2e/p&e/nft) games. For example, there are very few mobile multiplayer shooter games and limited gaming modes, with most games focusing solely on battle royale. In addition, the current centralized gaming ecosystem does not provide full ownership or transferability of in-game assets, and the current set of web3 games are not always engaging enough to keep players coming back for the gameplay.

  1. The mobile multiplayer shooter gaming ecosystem is currently lacking diversity, with very few options available and most of them having a similar look and feel. While fortnite stands out for its unique stylized graphics, most gamers prefer photorealistic graphics. Additionally, the available gaming modes are limited, with most games offering only Battle royale or death matches in multiplayer. Furthermore, multiplayer missions are currently absent from this ecosystem.
  2. Lack of ownership: in web2 games, players often do not truly own their in-game assets or progress, as these are stored on centralized servers owned by the game developers. This means that if the game shuts down or the developer decides to change the game's rules, players may lose all of their progress and assets. Web3 games, on the other hand, use blockchain technology to give players true ownership of their in-game assets and progress.
  3. The current selection of web3 games lack depth and entertainment value compared to what a game should ideally offer. The players who engage with these games are typically motivated by the prospect of earning tokens and nfts rather than enjoying the gameplay. Additionally, the game-financing aspect is weak, with most of these games falling under the "Play-to-earn" category and having treasury-driven economies that may not be sustainable in the long run. It is also worth noting that there is a significant overlap in the player base across these games, with early adoption being the key to obtaining airdrops and other freebies or token rewards.
  4. Limited economies: web2 games typically have closed economies, meaning that players can only earn in-game currency or trade items within the game itself. This limits the potential value of in-game assets and makes it difficult for players to earn real-world money from their gaming activities. Web3 games, on the other hand, have open economies that allow players to earn and trade assets on decentralized marketplaces, potentially creating new income streams for players.
  5. Lack of transparency: in web2 games, players must trust the game developers to be fair and transparent in their operations, as there is often limited visibility into how the game mechanics work or how in-game items are generated. In contrast, web3 games use blockchain technology to provide complete transparency and immutability, allowing players to see exactly how the game mechanics work and ensuring that in-game items are generated fairly and cannot be manipulated.

3. Market & competition

According to market trends, the global gaming industry is predicted to grow at a cagr of 13.2% and reach a valuation of $545 billion within the next five years, with mobile gaming accounting for roughly 61% of the market. The shooter segment is expected to continue its dominance, with a market share of approximately 23.5%. Although industry experts currently anticipate that only about 20% of games will use blockchain technology, we believe that the adoption rate will increase significantly in the future. As a result, it wouldn't be surprising to see the blockchain gaming market share increase to 30-35% of the entire gaming industry by 2028, presenting a total addressable market of $332 billion and a serviceable addressable market of $77 billion for anarchy.

Currently, successful shooter games typically feature multiplayer gameplay, third-person perspectives, and photorealistic graphics. However, there are only six such games available on mobile: PubG, Call of Duty, Freefire, Battle Prime, Apex Legends, and Fortnite, all of which are performing well on the top grossing charts. In the broader market of shooter games, there are approximately 77 games, with only 40 of them being third-person shooters and just 28 of them available on mobile. Out of these 28 mobile shooter games, only 15 offer multiplayer gameplay, and just five feature photorealistic graphics. Notably, there are no such games currently available in the web3 space.

4. Anarchy game overview

4.1.THE LORE:

Anarchy's lore revolves around the battle of different timeless and dimension-less clans like humans, time travellers, intergalactic warriors (aliens), ai bots, supernatural beings like angels, daemons, vampires, gods, etc. Battling in unusual battle-arenas like alien planets or ancient earth terrains to gain dominion over all that exists.

The game offers various formats for play&earn [free2play] Mode, such as solo death match, team death match, team mission matches, and squad/team battle royale. Additionally, players can participate in high-risk and high-reward battles through tournaments, where they pay an entry fee to compete. Winners receive token & nft rewards in proportion to their performance.

Overall, anarchy offers a unique and immersive gaming experience that combines the engaging gameplay of mobile shooter games with the benefits of web3's p2e and nfts.

4.2 GAME MECHANICS:

4.2.1 CLANS:

The game offers players the option to align themselves with one of six clans, namely

  1. Humans,
  2. Supernaturals,
  3. Aliens,
  4. Hybrids,
  5. Ai bots/cyborgs, and
  6. Time traveler's

As players progress in the game, each clan will have its own unique strengths and abilities that can be used to gain an edge in battle. For instance, humans are adept at using cutting- edge technology, while supernaturals have access to supernatural powers. Aliens possess advanced alien technology, and hybrids boast traits from both human and non-human origins. Ai bots/cyborgs are highly sophisticated machines, and time travelers possess the power to manipulate time and space. By selecting a clan, players can tailor their gaming experience and play as a distinct character within the game's overarching storyline. Initially, players can use different exotic characters for cosmetic purposes only, and additional abilities will be introduced as development progresses. It is important to ensure that no character has an unfair advantage over others.

4.2.2 BATTLE ARENAS:

The game features battle arenas that are divided into four categories. The first category is called "Battleground Earth," which consists of maps and worlds with earthly environments such as urban cities, mountains, and jungles. The second category is "Thru the Wormhole," which features battle arenas on planets located in remote galaxies and mostly populated by alien races. The third category, "Hellfire," comprises supernatural battlegrounds set in locations like Purgatory or Hell. Finally, the fourth category is "Travel in Time," which features battle arenas set in ancient environments like Aztec, ancient India/Greece/Rome, and the Stone Age. These diverse battle arenas allow players to experience different environments and challenges and keep the gameplay exciting and engaging.

4.2.3 GAMEPLAY MODES:

ANARCHY features three main modes that offer different experiences and rewards to players.

  • PLAY & EARN [Free2Play]: This is a free-to-play multiplayer mode where players can earn tokens and NFTs based on their time spent and performance in the game. Players can choose from several formats, including Solo Death Match, Team Death Match, Team Mission Matches, and Squad/Team Battle Royale.
  • TOURNAMENTS [Entrée fee]: This mode offers high-risk, high-reward battles, where players pay an entry fee to participate. Winners receive token and NFT rewards in proportion to their performance. The available formats include Team Death Match, Team Mission Matches, and Squad/Team Battle Royale.
  • NFT HUNTS: In this solo journey mode, players can explore mysterious worlds and solve riddles to uncover exciting NFTs.

Game Mode/Format Definitions:

Solo Death Match: A game mode where players compete against each other in a free-for-all battle. The objective is to get as many kills as possible within a set time limit or to reach a certain number of kills before the other players.

Team Death Match: A game mode where two teams compete against each other to see who can get the most kills. Players respawn after being killed and the team with the most kills at the end of the time limit wins.

Team Mission Matches: A game mode where teams work together to complete objectives such as capturing a flag or planting a bomb. The team that completes the objective first or has the most points at the end of the time limit wins.

Squad/Team Battle Royale: A game mode where players are divided into teams or squads and dropped onto a map with the goal of being the last team/squad standing. Players must scavenge for weapons and equipment while avoiding the shrinking play area and eliminating other teams/squads.

4.2.4 TECHNOLOGY STACK:

ANARCHY will be developed using Unity and Photon as the primary game engines, which are widely used in the gaming industry for their ease of use and compatibility with various platforms. Unity provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface for game development, allowing developers to create games with high-quality graphics, animation, and sound. Photon is a real-time multiplayer game engine that provides reliable networking features and server hosting, enabling players to enjoy smooth and lag-free gameplay.

In addition, ANARCHY will be built on the Polygon network, a fast and scalable Ethereum sidechain. The use of Polygon will allow for fast and inexpensive transactions within the game, reducing gas fees and ensuring a seamless user experience. Furthermore, Polygon's EVM compatibility will enable easy integration of smart contracts, making it possible to implement ANARCHY's game finance system in a secure and decentralized manner. By utilizing the Unity and Photon engines in conjunction with the Polygon network, ANARCHY aims to provide an immersive and engaging gaming experience for players while maintaining the security and efficiency of the blockchain.

4.2.5 GAME ECONOMY/GAME-FINANCE:

TAPS & SINKS:

Game economy taps refer to the ways in which virtual currency or other in-game resources are earned or obtained by players. Game economy sinks refer to the ways in which those resources are spent or removed from circulation in the game, such as through purchasing items or paying fees. A balanced game economy requires careful management of both taps and sinks to ensure that players can acquire resources at a reasonable rate and spend them in ways that contribute to overall gameplay.

ANARCHY's virtual currency tokens are distributed through three primary sources within the ecosystem: proof of play rewards based on a player's time and skills, awards to top players on the leaderboard for a set period, and purchases by users. Tokens are removed from the ecosystem through transaction fees, entry fees for tournaments, and purchasing NFTs. Our proprietary algorithm will balance the resource flows between taps and sinks to maintain the value of the tokens.

PROOF OF PLAY & TOKEN RELEASE:

ANARCHY utilizes a game finance system that harmonizes the "play-first" and "earn-first" economies by releasing in-game rewards according to player engagement using a "Proof of Play" algorithm that factors in time spent and performance:

The volume of user base and user engagement are the two most important metrics for any D2C company. ANARCHY's game finance system ensures that players are rewarded for their time and higher engagement leads to improved performance and higher rewards, which drives increased engagement from the gamer base. It is important to note that rewards are not treasury-driven and instead follow a revenue-sharing model with respect to token values to promote long-term sustainability.

There are different equations used to determine the POP score in different game modes. Each game mode has its own unique rules and reward structure, which can incentivize players to perform in different ways:

Solo/Team Deathmatch: In a solo deathmatch, players compete individually and their scores are calculated based on their performance in the game. The rewards are distributed in the same proportion as their scores. In a team deathmatch, players form teams and compete against other teams. The rewards are distributed only to the members of the winning team:

POP are primarily related with time. The hit ratio will always be a fraction between 0 to 1, hence it is multiplied by time spent for scaling purposes. Similarly, kill/death ratio can be anywhere from 0 to infinity, hence it is normalized and scaled to match with the quantum of time.

Mission Matches: In this game mode, players form teams and work together to complete a mission. The rewards are distributed based on each player's contribution share in the win. The contribution score is determined by the corresponding shapely values, which consider factors such as time spent, damage dealt, and objectives achieved:

Battle Royale: In this mode, players are pitted against each other in a last-man-standing battle. Only survivors are rewarded, and the top 5-10 players are rewarded based on their final standings in the game:

TOKEN RELEASE:

There will be a limited number of tokens (N) in supply at each season. Token supply will follow a decreasingly increasing function, and thus its valuation will follow an increasingly decreasing function. Token’s supply will primarily be a function of the total engagement time generated in the game, and token’s price will be determined based on the total earned XPs in the game. If we do not use XP’s explicitly, then the price of the token will be determined based on the proof of play score.

The equation of 𝑁t ensures that although the availability of tokens increase with total engagement time, it remains bounded by the total supply of tokens. We can always replenish the token tap in the backend when the remaining tokens reach 10% of the total. Regarding 𝑃NFT , for different categories of NFT (common, rare, etc.), the variable k will take different values. This will ensure that even if the supply goes out of our hand (in the marketplace, or anywhere else), we still have a variable to control the price of the NFT.

4.2.6 PRODUCT MONETIZATION STREAMS:

4.2.7 GAME FI & REVENUE ECOSYSTEM:

5. Anarchy tokenomics:

5.1.1 TOKEN DISTRIBUTION:

5.1.2 TOKEN DISTRIBUTION/UNLOCK CHART – 60 MONTHS:

ANARCHY's tokenomics is well-thought-out and structured to support long-term sustainability of the ecosystem. The majority of the tokens, 39% of the total supply, are allocated towards incentivizing the community, specifically gamers via Proof of Play. This means that users who engage with the platform and contribute towards its growth will be rewarded with ANARCHY tokens, which can then be used to participate in the platform's activities, such as playing games, purchasing NFTs, and participating in tournaments. By incentivizing the community, ANARCHY is likely to see a significant increase in user engagement, which should lead to an increase in the value of the token over time.

Another positive aspect of this distribution model is that it allocates a significant portion of the tokens towards marketing and ecosystem development. This is critical for any blockchain project, as it ensures that the platform remains visible and competitive in an increasingly crowded market. The allocation of 18.75% of the total token supply towards marketing and ecosystem development should help ANARCHY attract new users, build partnerships, and develop new features that will enhance the platform's functionality.

In addition, the gradual release of tokens over time should help prevent any large dumps of tokens that could negatively impact the value of the token. By gradually releasing the tokens over a period of several years, ANARCHY is effectively controlling the supply of tokens in the market, which should help maintain a stable token price. Overall, the distribution model for ANARCHY's token appears to be well-balanced and structured to support the long-term growth of the ecosystem.

5.1.3 TOKEN/NFT UTILITY:

  • In-game purchases: Players can use tokens to purchase in-game assets such as weapons, Armor, and other items.
  • Staking: Users can stake tokens to earn rewards or to participate in governance decisions.
  • Governance: Token holders can use their tokens to vote on important decisions regarding the development and direction of the game.
  • Marketplace: Tokens can be used to buy and sell in-game assets or NFTs on a marketplace.
  • Partnerships: Tokens can be used to form partnerships with other game developers or companies.
  • Cross-game interoperability: Tokens can be used in other games or platforms within the web3 ecosystem.
  • Decentralized exchange: Tokens can be traded on decentralized exchanges, providing liquidity to token holders.
  • Rare/super rare NFTs will offer voting rights too in addition to adding cosmetic value. NFTs will also offer game accesses in certain game modes.
